How roulette works
A ball is spun against a wheel of 37 or 38 numbered pockets. You bet on where it lands: a single number, a group, a colour or odd and even. Payouts are fixed, so the only decision that changes your expected return is which wheel you play.
European roulette has one zero and a 2.7% house edge. American roulette adds a double zero and doubles the edge to 5.26%. Malaysian casinos offer both, plus live Lightning Roulette with random multipliers up to 500x.
How to play roulette

European for the lowest edge. French adds La Partage, which halves losses on even-money bets when zero hits.
- Place chips on the layout
