F1 announces dates for 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix
Formula One (F1) has announced the date for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix, approved by the World Motor Sport Council. The Formula 1 is set to race from 21 November 2024 – 23 November 2024, begins in Bahrain and finishes in Abu Dhabi, featuring 24 races, taking place in 20 different countries.

2024 F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix | Saturday races
The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will join Las Vegas in making it three Saturday races on the calendar, to accommodate Ramadan(a period of fasting, prayer and reflection observed by Muslims around the world). And for the much-anticipated inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix , it will take place on a Saturday ( Saturday 18 November 2023) for the first time since 1985.

Formula 1 set for bumper 24-race calendar – with the traditional three-week summer break remaining in August, plus an additional three-week pause between Singapore and Austin and a two-week breather between Brazil and Las Vegas. The Chinese Grand Prix is also back on the schedule and makes its appearance for the first time since 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2023 inaugural Grand Prix
On the other hand, it has been 41 years since the Formula 1 Grand Prix last took place in Las Vegas. Formula 1 will hold its inaugural Grand Prix on 16 November 2023- 18 November 2023, on a 3.8-mile street circuit circuit encompassing Las Vegas Boulevard, Koval Lane, and Harmon and Sands avenues.During the 50-lap race, drivers will reach speeds of up to 212 mph.
Prep work is on-going for this year’s race, with crews continuing efforts on F1’s $500 million paddock building, situated at the northeast corner of Harmon and Koval, initial track paving is nearing completion, with final paving operations expected to commence later in the summer.
